Infernal Mission
Hong Kong 2004
Directed by Chan Man Luen.

The setup is a shameless ripoff of INFERNAL AFFAIRS, no background story required, since we all know the story. But here's twist -- this time, the stars are girls! Yay! Theresa Mak is the undercover cop, tapping out morse code info on her gold metallic purse to her boss (played by Lam Suet), while the Triad mole is Ruby Wong, sending messages back to her boss (Ho Wah Chiu) just in time and frankly looking guilty as hell while doing it. In the original film, the two undercovers meet in a stereo store and share their love of hi-fi equipment. Here, they meet in an Avon store and talk about different kinds of makeup. It's really funny, actually, to watch scene after scene from the original movie get imitated by the girls. But it gets boring, too, and it's hard to imagine a less creative digital video production.
