My Left Eye Sees Ghosts
Hong Kong 2002
Directed by Johnnie To, Wai Ka-Fai.

Johnnie To puts together another of his formulaic comedies, with some success. This time Sammi Cheng stars as a girl who meets a millionaire on vacation and marries him after three days. Shortly after that, he dies, and she moves into his mansion with his mother, his family, and his former girlfriend, all of whom hate her and think she's a golddigger. After a near fatal car accident, she begins to see ghosts out of one eye. The one ghost that helps her is in the form of childlike Lau Ching-Wan, who helps her out with her new found powers and her struggle to come to terms with her own loss. Funny, though occasionally misfires.

As an american where the origin of movies by formula started, i would have to say the ending surprised me. It is a very good movie. Easy to watch, and with characters who are easy to like. If you like beautiful women, then Sammie Cheung is sure a great one to watch!
