Nine Girls and a Ghost
Hong Kong 2002
Directed by Chung Shu Kai .

The hot new nine member girl band "Cookies" get their movie debut in this rather mundane story of a ghost (Edison Chen) who helps the girls in school while they help him discover his identity. Some really poor CGI enhanced basketball and soccer is thrown in, but it's no SHAOLIN SOCCER. You know you are in trouble when a movie makes Edison Chen look like a masterful older actor. The girls are all indistinguishable, and so skinny they would probably break a bone if any of them actually fell down or got hit with a strong wind. I don't care if they were color coded I still wouldn't have the interest or attention span to want to try and tell who's who. They do give me a great idea for a new all boy band though -- call them "All Men Are Brothers" and have 108 members! Outlaws of the dance! I love it!
