To Seduce An Enemy
Hong Kong 2003
Directed by Bowie Lau.

Michael Tong plays an evil advertising company boss hypnotizes beautiful women into being his sex slaves, then has them kill people for him, and kill themselves as well, when he gets tired of them. He also has a country house that he likes to invite young lovers to use, so that he can peep on them through floor to ceiling one-way mirrors, apparently in every room. Chin Kar-Lok plays an emotionally juvenile, but strong, cop out to get him. Juvenile is probably a good word to describe the movie as a whole, for that matter. Billed as a follow-up to last year's The Peeping, there is no relation between the two. And whereas The Peeping's simulated, non-nude sex nevertheless generated heat, this film employs similar techniques but is as cold as yesterday's leftovers. TO SEDUCE AN ENEMY tries to be trashy but falls short of even that modest goal.
