Troublesome Night 15
Hong Kong 2002
Directed by Jamie Luk.

Eric Tsang lends his star power to this fifteenth installment, but does little to improve it. In his past life, he betrayed his village to the invading Japanese, and after killing a man's wife and child in front of him, the man cursed him and all his generations. Now that man hangs out as an evil ghost, waiting for the best opportunity to kill Tsang's son, just returned from London. His son is a complete ass and I waited eagerly for the ghost to kill him. Alas, he just kept filling more and more screen time until not even a thousand deaths could compensate the viewer. The usual supporting cast is back too, of course, led by Helena Law-Lan.
